As a HOD, I have tried to give my best in this college. We had an opportunity to invite experts from ZSI, Bodhgaya. We had great experience in sharing our knowledge with experts in and around Tamilnadu. Around 60 scholars from different research institutes and colleges shared their scientific knowledge with us. This event would not have happened without the support of the management and the dedicated staff members of the department.

6.Do you plan to pursue any further research? If you get an opportunity in the future, on what aspect would you focus your research on? I would like to pursue research in our department .We would try and get projects in the years to come. The department has planned to work on the Nutritional status of school children. We would form a team to work on the project.

7.There is general lack of scientific thinking among general public, especially students. What factors do you attribute for this scenario?
Students seek education as job oriented programme. But they should realize that education is a tool to attain knowledge. When they pursue higher studies, their knowledge can further be developed.

The Enviro Club has planned to conduct hands on training - "Best out of waste", inviting experts from outside. If time permits we would take the students to sewage treatment plant.

9.Having the experience of working with women staff and teaching girls students in your department, express your views on women empowerment
God has given me the gift to be acquainted with women both in my family and career. I feel that women have a stronger mind than men. They should always be courageous and should not hesitate to shoulder higher positions. They should throw away the thought as weaker sex and march towards success.
